Being Part of the Community We Serve

At Counseling Associates, we believe in serving members of our community beyond our therapy offices. We strive to help others find hope and we know that starts at home. Serving others is just who we are.

You’ll find our team showing up in different ways throughout the year. Sometimes in ways that have nothing to do with therapy, and everything to do with being good neighbors.

We’ve rolled up our sleeves for the Paint-A-Thon in Fort Madison, helping clean up yards, scrape old paint, and give homes a fresh start for residents who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford it. It’s hands-on, sometimes messy work, but it matters. There’s something meaningful about stepping back at the end of the day and seeing a visible difference in someone’s home and a joyful smile on their face.

We’ve also joined in on events like Clean Up Main Street in Keokuk, walking alongside others in the community to pick up trash and take pride in the place we all share. It’s a simple thing, but those small efforts add up and it’s a reminder that community care doesn’t have to be complicated.

Our involvement doesn’t stop locally.

Members of our team who work remotely find ways to give back where they are. One of our team members regularly volunteers at a food bank in Connecticut, which is a good reflection of how we strive to stay connected to the communities around us.

When you’re connected to your community in everyday ways, it shapes how you listen to and understand the people you interact with. Serving others impacts the way you show up when they need support.

We are proud of our local communities and we want to continue making a difference where it matters most.Your home and ours.
